This book was so much more than I expected it to be. I loved both Lillian and Helen’s characters. I was most intrigued by the 1919 storyline. I don’t read historical fiction very often but I’ll definitely be looking at both Fiona Davis’s other works and also for other books set in the same timeframe. 

Adding The Frick Collection to places to see next time I’m in NYC.

This book is a fabulous read. It has two strong female characters, an intriguing plot and plenty of twists and turns. Loved the blend of historical facts into the story and the switch between two time periods.

I enjoyed it but got a little bored in the middle. The ending was good. Glad I read it, just probably won't read again.
