i see why you would make a movie out of that and such a great one too! very creative and wholesome book.

"Oh Pod, you do look queer. Are you all right?"
"No good never really came to no one from any human bean."
"Stories never really end. They can go on and on and on. It's just that sometimes, at a certain point, one stops telling them."

an extremely charming book, i'm really glad that this is the one i chose to try to settle back into reading !!!!

my favorite aspect of this was just how the kids were just kids! anytime one of the kids in the story had an outburst or were lovingly ignorant was really heartwarming, especially when it came to Arrietty realizing that she and her family might be the last of the Borrowers. i really related to Ms. May at the end when she was surprised that Kate was so emotionally invested like AHH these kids..

Arrietty and the Boy's conversations and in general, their relationship was the best. like how Arrietty guessed correctly that he was 9 years old, yet the Boy still bluffing and saying that he's actually 10. how Ms. May says that Arrietty used to write her E's similar to the Boy's, their relationship was just so comfy and nice, it was so bittersweet when their happy times together were described in past tense

and the ending is so !! i love how in a true parent fashion, Ms. May reassures Kate that the Clocks got their happy ending, whether what she said is true or not will be seen in the sequels, and i hope she is. i'm really curious as to what they are about... i know for sure one will have to include Aunt Lupy in it, but what else?
