A lovely children's book. Eleven year old me loved the tiny world of the borrowers and their inventive uses for all the little things they 'borrowed'.

This was one of my favourite books when I was a child, and I still appreciate it to this day for it's simplicity and loveliness.

I just finished reading this aloud to my class and it was a little beyond my second graders. It is more geared toward older kids and that being said, I didn't much enjoy the book myself either. I didn't enjoy the characters and the family of the borrowers did not treat each other very kindly. I hope the rest of the books are better since it is an intriguing idea of little people borrowing your things. I am sure the books are popular for a reason, I just didn't care for it.

Fun and cute little story. Would enjoy it more if I read it earlier when I was a kid.
