I really love this style of writing, ir shares similarities to other contemporary Irish authors like Sally Rooney and Colm Toibin. I loved the duality of Michael doing such good in his work but also being a serial cheater. Cushlas nievity is both precious and wildly frustrating. The ending stays with you and captures the heartbreaking reality of the time.

This book gave me a glimpse into a history that should be honored by being learned. I listened to it on audiobook and now I think northern Irish accents are the sexiest possible kind.
