I really love how the disability and struggles of the main character are described -- that's the best part of this book. You really feel for Corey and wish her the best, because she deserves it. However, the romance between the two main characters felt somewhat forced. I thought they spent way too little quality time with each other to fall so head over heels in love. The conversations weren't very deep, they mostly focused on their shared disability and I suppose it's great that they connected on that, but it still seemed flat. I wish the author spent more time describing Hartley's POV, because I didn't really relate to him all that much.

Pretty good read. It was your standard YA college novel but had protagonists with physical disabilities.

This was such an enjoyable escape and a one-sit read that flew by. Sarina Bowen knows how to build tension and she writes some of the best sexy scenes. I immediately started the next book in the series.

Gorgeous, review coming up. 4.5 stars.

4.5 stars Love, love, love this book! The characters reminded me of Augustus and Hazel from The Fault in Our Stars, only these characters were dealing with physical limitations. Reading from the POVof Corey was my favorite parts--she was funny, realistic, and insightful. The banter between her character and Hartley gave the book it's heart and entertainment. I learned a lot about the difficulties a person with a spinal cord injury have to deal with on a daily basis, and I felt immense empathy for the characters, as well as people dealing with these issues in real life.
I can't say enough about this book--it was absolutely fantastic!

I think this book did a fantastic job of describing the experience of an acquired spinal cord injury and all the grief and normal everyday living that comes with the change in functioning. I liked that the heroine's struggles were talked about upfront, but they weren't her defining features. Her grief was evident, but not her whole life. It was a positive look at someone with a disability.

That being said, the story itself was very new adult and the romance was kind of boring. Girl loves boy, boy takes forever to figure out that he loves her. So far I haven't been a huge fan of a lot of the new adult books, I may be biased. I loved the portrayal of the heroine and a positive take on someone with a spinal cord injury, just wish the romance was a little more interesting.
