2021 reread:
I like the clever play on the classic myth of nobody and Polyphemus, and I enjoy the addition of Tyson as long as I'm not in the audio version. And the twist was really clever. Would have enjoyed it more if Clarisse has been at least a little less stupid.

It's an easy read but too juvenile to be rated higher. I dislike how he draws from the most well known myths yet somehow the mcs still don't know how to act. Granted they're prepubescent, so there's that. I wonder if I wouldn't known the ending ahead of time (good foreshadowing) if it weren't for recalling the end of the movie.
