I really enjoyed this book! I LOVE The Princess Bride and have seen it a bajillion times. I always like to know inside tips about things that can be spotted in movies if you know to look for them and I enjoyed learning tidbits about each of the actors. I don't think Cary said one bad word about anyone in the movie, and I do wonder if everyone really was that great or if he just didn't want to say anything rude - so in that regard I don't think it may have been COMPLETELY honest. But that is fine with me since I didn't want to hear mud - slinging anyway! It was a short, sweet recollection on one of the greatest movies. And it made me want to watch the movie again, no matter how many times I have seen it already!

Too much fun. If you enjoyed The Princess Bride, you'll enjoy this book, especially in audio, where you can hear a bunch of the actors chiming in on their experiences while making the film. A pity Mandy Patinkin's contributions weren't read by him, but voiced by someone else — that would make it the most perfect thing ever!

I really loved this book. I didn't want to put it down, and I was a little sad when I reached the end.

I didn't grow up watching the movie - I only watched it for the first time a few years ago - but I did really enjoy it, and I can definitely understand why it's considered a classic.

I think Cary captured the essence of the film, and really showed how much care went into making it. I loved all of the behind-the-scenes information he provided. I watched the movie again right after finishing the book, and I can honestly say that my enjoyment of the movie increased so much just by understanding some of the things that occurred in the background during certain scenes.

Another highlight was all of the stories shared by the other cast members. It really helped to show that it wasn't just Cary's idealistic version of events. It seems like it was a very happy set, and the love of the actors and directors for the material is obvious.

I thoroughly enjoyed Cary's writing style. It was engaging and humorous, and just flowed really well. He came across as humble and sincerely happy to have been a part of the movie.

I would highly recommend this! If you're a fan of Cary Elwes or The Princess Bride, you will love this.

This is of the same gentle and funny spirit as the movie it recounts the making of. Many wonderful behind the scenes tales of author and screenwriter William Goldman, Andre the Giant, and the rest. A delightful read. I did not want it to end.

This book is going to make you want to immediately rewatch The Princess Bride. So make sure you have time to read and watch. This was such a fun way to share the memories of a movie I love so much.

A must read for fans of The Princess Bride movie. I listened to the audiobook for this one and I'm very glad that I did. There's a magic to the way Cary Elwes reminisces about the making of the movie that shines through 25-years after its release.

I was channel surfing one day when I was about halfway through the book and saw that The Princess Bride was on TV. So, I watched it for the umpteenth time. This viewing was all the more enjoyable after listening to Cary's stories about what went into its production.

I don't know what else to say but read/listen to the book then re-watch the movie. It's a very satisfying experience.

I stopped reading every word after about 70 pages and skimmed through the rest. Most of this book was just too tedious. It reminded me a bit of the journal I used to write when I was 8 years old. ("We had cheerios for breakfast this morning. I played kickball at recess.")

There were some interesting stories. There were also some sweet stories and some funny stories. There was even an outrageously hilarious story. There were not, however, any inconceivable stories (as the subtitle claims). I guess that word really doesn't mean what you think it means.
