If anyone is paying attention I am absolutely burning through this series! I am 100% entirely obsessed and this one is no different. Dean and Allie individually aren't my favorite people so far in the off-campus series, but wow do I love them together. This book has all the things I've grown accustomed to in Elle Kennedy's books: heart, humor, and lots and lots of steam!
Reread 11/11/21: Dean really is too ridiculous for words. I had a great time rereading this book and still enjoyed Dean and Allie as much as I did the first time. I am doing an out-of-order reread of this series, and, upon reread, it gives me strong "pick-me girl" energy, but I still have a great time in the Briar-U/Off-Campus universe!

Elle Kennedyās The Score is part of her off-campus series. This novel features Dean and Allie, who, in my opinion have chemistry right off the bat compared to some of the other couples in this series who were more resistant to their feelings. I really liked the dynamic between Allie and Dean and their banter had me laughing out loud for a lot of this novel. This maintained some of the things I really liked about the first two books in this series, but still felt unique as the characters were speaking. These are all easily stand-alones, but reading them as a series provides some helpful insight into the other characters who appear throughout the pages. I liked the plot of this novel, and how it specifically pushed the insecurities of the main characters in a way that proves they would work in any situation, not just the one they were in. The thing I like most about these books is the believable of the couples and their growth together. While I found some of the miscommunications annoying, it didnāt go so far as to invoke the miscommunication trope for long, which I appreciated (since I HATE that trope). The instances where there was miscommunication made sense, especially in the context of the two individuals and how they worked together. This is definitely a spicy romance worth adding to your TBR.
Graphic: Cancer, Cursing, Death, Drug use, Sexual content, Vomit, Grief, Car accident, Alcohol
3.5 this was marginally better than the first two but still not sold on this series. Allie was fun but I didnāt like dean a whole lot. I didnāt think their character development was very good. But the book was light and happy, had some funny scenes. Spice was good.
