It was a solid read. LOTS packed into it and much of the action was in the last 25%, and that portion of the book felt like it dragged. I likely won’t read the next when it’s published.

Just couldn’t get into it.

Listen Esme Addison did NOT come to play with us with this novel! If you’re a fantasy lover like myself but get tired of the weird romances that authors throw in to detract from the action and suspense of fantasy-then this book is FOR you!!! Addison adds action packed mystery, supernatural powers, little known but important historical references and believable sci-fi to form a dish that readers will devour!!! Please check this one out! I loved it!!!!

I was kind of bored and I wasn’t a fan of the antagonists.

This book definitely held my attention. As a history buff, I enjoyed the historical facts sprinkled throughout the book. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but at times it seemed that the highly intelligent main character took far too long to figure things out. There were several times where I’d predicted the outcome of a certain scenario a full chapter before the main character figured it out. For me, it was contradictory to how Sidney was described throughout the book. Aside from that, I found it to be a good book.
