This one has Devlin solving a murder of a Bishop at the request of his aunt. The Bishop is found dead in a recently opened crypt and nearby is the body of his long lost missing brother also murdered but seemed to have been overlooked when the crypt was sealed many years ago. Hero is involved with this case as well as it turns out she had had several meetings with the Bishop in the weeks before his death. This is another great book in the series I really have been enjoying them.

Another fantastic entry in this wonderful series of books!

So often in a book series there's usually a few weaker books amongst the gems. Not so with this series. Each book is a thoroughly entertaining read filled with action, mystery and suspense. None of them have felt like 'filler' to me.

This book is no exception.

Also, I will state right up front that I am a Hero fan--I prefer her way over Kat--and I loved seeing her placed more in the center of things. The ending of this book has me cautiously optimistic about the next installment, which I plan to jump into later tonight.

Much better than the others, best of the series so far. There was lots of Hero, less of Sebastian and practically nothing of Kate. Yay! I just wish that the books could switch to Hero as the main character and drop Sebastian and Kate. Sebastian is just so sulky and annoying. I was going to stop reading the series but this one and my interest in seeing what happens to Hero will keep me reading.

Better and better I think.

No matter my reading mood, these keep me reading.

Not quite as good as I'd hoped — though I didn't guess who murdered who, I found most of the characters unpleasant (especially Hero. She annoyed me to no end). Just not the book for me

The underlying mystery was very convoluted, but slightly less compelling than Sebastian's ongoing family problems.

I'm much too invested in Hero's subplot than I should be. There's still a couple of plot points I'm not sure about because I rushed through the book wanting to see what she would do. Or maybe those plot points weren't cleared up, I don't know.
Who shot Tom while trying to get at Sebastian? Was is the murderer or Slate?

Less Kat, but still not enough Hero.
