The nice thing to say: I just don't like her writing style. What I want to say: Doesn't she know this story had been written before, and better?! Eh, life's too short to read shit I'm not in to.

Excellent murder mystery where from chapter to chapter you don't know WHO the killer is. At one point, the entire town is a suspect. Where have you been all my life, Tami Hoag?

Unfortunately, I read the 2nd book in this series first so I already knew who the murderer was. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I know if I'd read this first, I would've been very confused about who the "See No Evil" killer was. I'm really looking forward to the 3rd book in the series and must say thanks again to my friend, Heather for getting me this selection! very good!

This book was grueling and very hard for me to push through. Predictable and flat, I found it entirely uninteresting. Disappointed.

Served its purpose -- a thrilling, quick, page turner.

Somehow I read the next book before I read this one, so while I knew who the murder was the entire time, it was still fascinating to read. I have the same complaints as with the second book: because it's set in the mid 80's, there isn't the forensic technology that we have now and are used to because of TV shows like CSI. The characters are constantly bemoaning that they don't have technology yet... that "it's a few years away still"... It's like we're being beat over the head with it. I get it. Just get on with the story in the setting you gave us and we can accept it!
Some language, sex, and violence. But you'd have to accept that as part of a murder mystery.

My first Tami Hoag book and I devoured this in less than two days.
This was so good and I usually don’t read thrillers because I can predict the twist or who the bad guy is. But truly I had no idea by 85% of the book. Everyone was a suspect to me.
THE ENDING? Had my jaw on the floor.

Meh. Like the 2 star rating indicates, it was ok. I would have enjoyed less melodrama and more suspense.
