Again, their writing style always leaves me wanting more, but this was such an enthralling story and I love an open-ended ending and independent female characters. Sometimes I got a little bored, but there was always some action to bring me back in.

The epilogue just made it that little bit better. I had so many thoughts and emotions while reading but I am terrible at writing reviews so I can't write it down very well.

This is the third book of the series, but it is standalone. It’s a bit darker than the previous two and has more violence than I usually read. I don’t think that detracted from the beauty of this book’s message. As with her other two books I’ve read, the author weaves the themes of loyalty, hope, courage, bravery, and redemption into the story.
My one complaint. And this is just me. But she always kills off my favorite character and it makes me cry. But that’s expected it fantasy and me. I love the side characters.
I would definitely recommend to those who love fantasy.

To me, this felt like a unique story. I have no idea which fairytale this is based on (might not have remembered it). Because of this, I found it really good. The characters were great, their flaws where great, and the fact that Javan has this ‘clear moment of understanding’ was well put together. It even made me almost cry while reading it on the train. And let’s not forget… the cover is stunning.
I also liked the overlay with the previous books, such as seeing Ari at the end of the book and Hansel and Gretel quickly popping in.
I’m glad I kept on reading even after I wasn’t that into the first book. Definitely an upgrade form the first in the Ravenspire Series.

ESTE LIBRO SE SUMA A MIS FAVORITOS DEL AÑO (y de este mes, claro está). ¿OKAY? ES SIMPLEMENTE MARAVILLOSO. HERMOSO.
“She knew how to survive in the darkness, but was terrified she’d be lost in the light.”
“There's always something to fight for.”
¡Me encantaron!

I thoroughly enjoyed this retelling of The Prince and The Pauper. It was interesting and intense. It was a great take on a classic!
