A very good surprise. I'm not much into badass heroes Bruce Willis style (shoot first, ask questions later), and I was afraid this would be the case here, but it wasn't. Much.
OK, there are many fight scenes, dead bodies and all that, but what attracted me at first was that Reacher chose to travel in his country without papers, just cash, wanting maybe to beat the system to its own game. That was original enough to catch my attention.
Then I got into the story, wanting to know who did what and how they would catch the bad guys.
I wanted a good diversion from daily problems and I got it : action, fast pace, a bit of romance but not too much, an original plot with an original hero. Perfect read for the week-end !

I decided to read this one after watching Reacher on prime, and I was very surprised to see how close the adaptation stayed true to the book.  So, I found this one repetitive a bit but it was also nice to see some things better explained in the book.

It was an interesting storyline and gripping thriller, but I found the ending to be a bummer.

Truly I'm just bored. It's in first person and sometimes weirdly misogynistic and I am finding myself struggling to stay interested in reading more of it
