DNF. god awful. Like if you took a Carl hiassen mystery (which I do enjoy) and made every character as boring as a rock. Plus the repetitive fragmented writing. I can’t believe I stayed with the audiobook for this long.
I would accuse him of not developing his single female character but it turns out he doesn’t develop ANY character. Equal opportunity. That doesn’t mean he escapes the misogyny allegations though because the entire intro to the female cop/love interest is about how tight her uniform is over her breasts. I would say he breast’s feature as one of her most defined and described attributes. Horrible stuff.

Great read - can't believe I haven't read Lee Child before. I'll be working my way through this series for sure!
Started off well, but God damn it, the main protagonist is bloody stupid for an ex-detective. There is an apparently massive reveal in the book, and it was so obvious...I won't say what it was, but it was to to with printing money...I gave up at that moment as I couldn't bare reading a page more.

So I see Lee Child books ALL over the place and they've never really interested me. After watching the TV series and my cousin telling me to give them a go as he loves them I caved. I'm now a fan. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Couldn't put it down. Very well paced, action great and Reacher is awesome. Can't wait to jump into more!
