Wolves of the Calla

I like Callahan and all but his story drags this book on so much, the finale is pretty legit tho

I am more apt to give this a 3.5 than a true 4, but the references King makes to his other works as well as other literature. The vernacular speech wears real thin over the 700 pages and sometimes trying to parse out what is being said can take whole minutes. The last books written to finish this series always seem to fall short when I read them in succession from the originals.

Another great book, could definitely mark a turning point from previous. A certain death at the end had me extremely upset. Felt a tad meandering in part, especially Callahan's past, hence no higher review than TWL, but as usual King doesn't fail to disappoint with grand battles and tense pages, which pass by very quickly. I am incredibly eager to read the penultimate and final book in the series.

Metafiction FTW!

ok fine this was REALLY GOOD

Another masterpiece on SK’s and Roland’s path to the Dark Tower. This was a slow burn type of book. Finally, we met Father Callahan again and it was as joyous a reunion as I expected! The ending, where they were reading Salems Lot and Father Callahan’s story within this story, was an extreme trip.
