This is basically The Magnificent 7, except Stephen King stops in the middle to write an extended summary of another Stephen King book, drag one of its characters into the story, and then write a rambling backstory of that character's life back in America.

Another nail biter. It seemed like quite a long build up to the climax, but as always, it didn't disappoint. Discovering the mystery of the Wolves and how the town has dealt with them over the years was riveting. It was action-packed and suspenseful, again King always teasing to keep me on the edge of my seat. Additionally, watching Jake grow has been heart warming, as well as how Eddie and Susannah have honed their skills. Roland, while still the heart of our story, seems to be more supportive to them than anything. Their strangely pieced together family gives hope on this long road.

Mixed bag with this one. Wasn't that entirely invested in this plot, although I did like how this one is pretty much a sequel to 'Salem's Lot with many of the characters that are reintroduced here. Roland and Eddie are still great, but Susannah kinda took a dip for me. I still like her, but this wasn't her full potential in my taste. Callahan does get a massive and interesting role here and as always, it's nice to see further connections.
