Great book! It was definitely a slower read than the others in the series thus far, but you could tell it was building tension for the rest of the story to come.

This book took almost two months for me to finish. It was just so slow, and there was just a spoonful of action in a couple chapters but the real action came in towards the final 50 pages! It was 300 pages too long. I swear Callahan's back must be hurting from carrying this book, his story was the most interesting part of the book, right after the climax.

I want to see the Dark Tower made into a tv show just for one perfect scene in this book - When Roland dances the Camala. I even overlooked excessive vampire digressions for that perfect moment of surprise and payoff on 4 books of character development.
