The very quick turn around between hiding feelings and being in love with each other and talking marriage. There was barely any development of plot line

too much talk of cars for me

He laughed. "Mockery is my love language.”
“Well, that explains some things.”

Just got bored. I don’t like insta love and it seemed a bit like that to me :/

This is a cute, fun read! After reading an emotional book, I needed something light and fun, and this book was exactly what I needed!

Clay and Lauren were cute, and I liked their banter! Some of my favorite parts were when Lauren would try to surprise attack Clay by launching herself at him.

“Clay just likes to mess with me. Just like I liked to mess with him. We were…messy.”

This is a really cute enemies-to-lovers with plenty of banter and quirkiness. I love Lauren’s dysfunctional family and the complex emotions in the sweet story.

(I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

This was my first book by Rachel John but I'll be coming back for her Austen Inspired series after I get through reading Austen (if I ever finish Austen...)

This was an adorable, quick, forbidden love RomCom that I read just in time to welcome summer. This novel had me laughing out loud the whole way through.

Clay and Lauren are thrown together often on account of them both working for her fathers company, and him being her brothers best friend and 'adopted' by her entire family. No one expects the two of them will be together, least of all the two of them, it was such fun watching their relationship change throughout the story.

A major highlight for me in this book was Lauren's roommate, Jenny. She was hilarious, always there for advice and was someone I could see pieces of my friends in. I can't wait to read more about her!
