TW for a character dealing with painfully realistic emotional abuse. Otherwise it was indeed the cute Christmas romcom as advertised.

I’m a hater of fake dating and this was perfect to me since the main couple wasn’t the one fake dating! Loved it, super cheesy and cute :)

Interesting fake dating premise where you know from the start the two fake dating are not the ones that will end up together.

Margot agrees to go home with a man she barely knows to his country estate and be his fake girlfriend, even though she's a lesbian. Margot has just parted with her very abusive ex girlfriend and needs the escape he has planned.

There she meets Ben's sister Ellie, who is also a lesbian. And of course they fall for each other.

The beginning was kind of cute, the middle I almost DNFed, and the ending was also cute. The audio book was well done, and I enjoyed the narration. However some of the aspect of the story just weren't for me.

The Christmas Swap is a sapphic holiday romance that is divided in the days of the week leading up to Christmas, which would make it fun for a reader to read each day that corresponded with the book. While I wanted to like this more, I just couldn't get into this as much as i wanted to. I think I made the mistake of reading it right after I finished "Kiss Her Once For Me" because they were just so similar, so it was hard not to compare the two, at least fo rme. However, this book was cute and sweet, and I loved the friendship that Blossomed between Ben and Margot.

good but i didn’t like how it ended. felt very rushed and that big 75% issue was silly and could have played out differently
