this was so good the first time around and SO good the second time around. i'm a slut for a british accent so i fucking loved hearing their british accents the entire book. i love this story! i love these characters!
fast-paced
Although it was an easy read, it was too predictable. I felt that the description of getting out of an abusive relationship was over simplified. Also, the negative comment about vegan cheese was uncalled for. I bumped up the rating because of the Love, Actually callback (my favorite Christmas movie).
Moderate: Emotional abuse
WAYYY too much internal monologue over the smallest details, and then when there was actual dialogue and action it only lasted a few lines before we were back to the MCs overthinking every single thing over and over. I also need authors to stop claiming that their characters are in their 30’s while they behave like they’re in their early 20’s. Insane.
Boring, plus I don't like miscommunication tropes.

too cheesy, the characters were too cliche
overall kinda lame.
drones on with conversations and scenes that don’t need so much time. there’s never a questions of what anyone is thinking/feeling EVER and you absolutely won’t miss a single step in anyone’s healing journey. somehow the characters were simultaneously underdeveloped and overdeveloped.
so easy to see what would happen in the end and the solutions to problems they apparently just couldn’t solve.
also what happened with taylor? you’re telling me the woman that always wants to know where you are and calls your mother is suddenly leaving you alone because you blocked her? oh please
