Loved it

The art style was amazing. The story was a lot of fun, but there was so much depth to it. I loved the characters and how Aiza made friends and grew. She is such a mighty girl.

Very human and real with struggling for a sense of identity and history in an empire as a young person..... im kinda in the middle about whether i liked the anti ornu propaganda happening without aiza's noticing thoughout the book or if i wouldve preferred seeing her making a conscious decision to brush it off. Overall i really like how it approached the fantasy empire genre without focusing on a chosen one narrative, but as always with comics i wish there was more time to deeply learn about side characters especially towards the end as they try to grapple with deconstucting colonial propaganda in their own ways

Late to the party, as good as everyone says. Wish there was more!
