Yeeesh. I feel like I need a shower after reading this, and I don't mean that as an insult. This book delves into some seriously dark territory, but it's never graphic. It doesn't need to be, because this is an author who understands how to create a sense of such heavy dread that gory details are unnecessary, and I very much appreciate that. This book gave me the creeps pretty much from the first page.

Thrilling

This book kept you guessing until the very end. Wish there was a little more wrap up... did Goblin do something similar when they were kids and that’s why Donny/Bauer didn’t like him? Did officer Kent find the drug note in her pocket? Did something really happen to make Cassie sleep in the closet or was she just imagining things? Why did Goblin not do anything for years and then get so bold to start taking kids seemingly daily?
