3.5/5

Summary: After an extremely contentious and hostile divorce, the FMC’s sister pressures her into hiring a family friend - an extremely attractive somewhat younger nanny.  The ex husband causes problems.

Stats: CR, M/F, stands alone, open door.

Notes:  This wasn’t the most pleasant book to read - the divorce is a huge part of the plot and it’s very hostile.  The main conflict between the two MCs is a little naft, and the author includes two violent episodes between the FMC/her ex husband (she threatened/hit him with a baseball bat many years ago) and the MMC/FMC (he kicks a hole in a door) and soft of laughs them both off - which was a pretty big turn off for me.

Incomplete, but still spoilery, Content Notes
children, pregnancy, infidelity (against FMC in previous relationship), family tension, hostile divorce, FMC threatened/hit her ex husband with a baseball bat many years ago (treated as a joke), MMC kicks through a door (treated as a joke)

Misadventures with a Manny was a brilliant read and another fab addition to the Misadventures series; and I loved the idea of the male nanny or manny. And the story had lots of lovable characters, plenty of fun, emotion, heat, sweetness and at times passion. Which made it extremely entertaining, enjoyable and fun to read; and it's why I would happily recommend it to others.

I really liked Aleo's twist on a manny. It was heartfelt and funny. Vera's husband needed to be hit, but I absolutely loved her strength. Lincoln was amazing. The perfect male character and role model. It just proves that Aleo can truly write it all.

Super cute.
I didn’t enjoy Vera’s self deprecation but being with a selfish man plays havoc on the psyche.

Justt loved the book. It was beautiful. This one had all the ingredients in perfect mix.

I liked all the characters, but special mention goes to Vera’s kids. Elliot, Louis and Charlie. Awww!

By the time it got over, I had pictured the entire family in mind mind. The last scene is amazing.

One of the best books in this series.

This book was awesome. Vera has such a dirty mind and it left me both laughing and excited. Lincoln's character is hot and lovable. Vera and Lincoln's chemistry is hot and leaves you craving more. Such a good story that has you hooked from the beginning. Highly Recommended.

I don’t like making bad comments about a novel because the time and themselves that authors put into their work should not in anyway be dissed. But........I was so excited to read this because I had already read a book with a similar story line that I absolutely enjoyed [b:Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny|41712479|Rafe A Buff Male Nanny (Loose Ends #1)|Rebekah Weatherspoon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1536086084l/41712479._SY75_.jpg|65058784]. The novel was okay but unfortunately I just didn’t go away as excited as I had gone in....apologies.

Misadventures with a Manny was a TOP Toni Aleo book for me. All the characters were so entertaining I kept laughing out loud. The relationships between them all made me warm all over and turned my heart to mush. Except for Simon. Someone needed to punch that douche. You can't go wrong with a book by Toni, but I STRONGLY encourage you to pick up this must read.

What do you do when your husband runs off with the nanny and your kids scare away any other potential help you can find? You go with the manny.

Lincoln went to school and discovered his love of teaching and helping children grow. This love helped him find jobs as a manny. He can cook, clean, and teach arithmetic all in one day. He is also extremely easy on the eyes. When his current family moves to Germany, Lincoln decides to take a job caring for his best friend’s sister-in-law’s children.

Vera is in a slump. Her husband left her for the nanny (and got her pregnant). She has three children to care for and her ex is acting like a child himself. She knows that she needs help, but does not know if a manny is appropriate. However, when Lincoln walks in the door, her ideas soon change.

Their chemistry is instantaneous and their love story is a classic mix of sweet and spicy. This addition to the Misadventures books will not disappoint. Fans of Toni Aleo and those who are new to her work will all fall in love with Lincoln and Vera. A wonderful story about finding yourself and finding love in the unlikeliest of places.
