Solid return to the series and opener for Rhythm of War. Great character development and innovative approach to disability recognition.

Another excellent diversion within the Stormlight Archive that is brought down only by the difficult-to-match quality of the books that surround it.
Dawnshard follows a few previously minor characters we've seen only snippets of, and one particularly fun secondary (or maybe tertiary) character we've seen quite a lot of. Ultimately, it's clear that the purpose of this book is to build context around a character we'll see more of later (as was the case with Edgedancer), and it did a good job of making that character compelling. It also provided more detail about an antagonist (or perhaps not an antagonist?) introduced in Edgedancer but otherwise unexplored.
I'm excited to see more of these characters in the core novels, and I enjoyed reading about them in this context, but these books just aren't as good as the main series. Not their fault, the bar is high.

I had low expectations for this novella but I ended up loving it! Some of my favorite POVs in the series so far! So funny and full of found family!
