for the life of me, i cannot bring myself to pick up listening to this. i know i dont have much left, but i just cant. this isnt as fun as the first book was for me, and i just... dont want to continue.

This series is just so much FUN. I love following these characters and unraveling the mystery. K&B did such a great job building the story with the first two books and I cannot wait to see how it all concludes next year! 

To be honest, it’s the ensemble that makes this series for me. Hailey is my FAVORITE. I love her and I am sincerely heartbroken that we won’t have a book in her POV (+ Oliver and Jake, let’s make this love triangle a triad!!!!) Also TREVOR. I’m sorry, I’m obsessed. Another character who needs his own book! I am fascinated by the little psychopath and the twist at the end had me GAGGED. Jake was probably the revelation of the book for me. His friendship with Rocky, his relationship with Hailey, and his integration into the group was so much fun. I need him to end up with both Hailey and Oliver. Jake is my BI KING.  Also can we give Nova a love interest too? He needs more than his car and his boat and his bag of guns!

I LOVE when a second book hits like this one. From the very first page, Destructively Mine hits the ground running. There are so many moving parts and side plots that you never 100% know what will happen next. And I also enjoyed how much this book let us get to know all the siblings a little more, and I am definitely so invested in where their stories are going. 

I really don’t want to say too much since it’s the second in a series, and I don’t want to spoil anything. BUT if you’re looking for a book that will keep you captivated the whole time, this is definitely the one. Seriously. The last half of the book had me gasping for air because I was so shocked by all the reveals. 


(Quick sidenote: this book was definitely spicier and darker than the last - so just a heads up!!)
