Some incredible, fascinating reports on neurologigally atypical patients. Told with great compassion and insight

I like Sacks, but some of the stories in this book touch on topics that he’s already written about in previous books and there wasn’t enough new material to hold my interest.

Some of the text is understandably dated at this point. Generally I loved Sack's writing and style, a good mix of scholarly but accessible, but I did find he had a tendency to repeat himself in terms of his musings about humanity and the nature of particular conditions, especially autism. Still, fascinating book and I plan to look for his others!

Not as good as his other books

One of my all time favorite books. It makes us take a good look at all we take for granted and at those brave few who triumph over difficult circumstance. The human brain is a complex and curious thing. Thank you Oliver Sacks!

Dense as all get out but SO interesting! Lots of stuff went over my head and I still loved it. Even though my understanding of the brain scratches the surface of the authors, it was cool to share a part of the awe and wonder he holds for how the mind works.
