After finishing this book, I am trying to figure out why I waited so long to read it. I will probably read this book again in a few years. Ten Boom's story includes multiple examples of God's provisions and miracles in unexpected times. I would recommend it to others.
Everyone should read this book. I read the 35th anniversary edition. The timeline notes at the end are fantastic. Just realizing the amount of work Corrie Ten Boom accomplished during her life was inspiring. I never knew that much about her sister, Betsie, but reading how Betsies’ faith encouraged her was eye opening. I plan on reading more of her books and also watching the movie. I very much recommend this book.
This is where my love for reading began. It was a middle school required read. Loved it!
What a beautiful testament to the transformative power of the gospel! I'm not sure if I've ever read anything that so beautifully depicted what it means to love and live as Christ did. The ten Boom family's faith is a shining example of what it truly means to love your neighbor and pray for those who persecute you.
