This is a deep, meaningful, life-changing book that makes you look at everything in a new way and gives you so many life lessons. I know that was a ridiculously long opening sentence, but it's true. I have to say- I love this book so, so much! It will remain one of my favorites for years and years to come. Corrie and Betsie's journey has so much to learn from it. I loved hearing about Corrie's early life, and the truths she knew from such a young age, and the hardships so many of her family overcame. And then their journey with the underground and the concentration camps- wow. Wow. Betsie is so, so brave and faithful, and I will never forget how she endured to the very end.
Overall, these themes of God's faithfulness, His perfect plan and timing, and gratitude, selflessness, and love, even in the hardest of times have such an impact. I highly, highly recommend this book- it is life changing and reminds you that through every war and battle, Jesus is Victor.

If I have a fraction of the love in my heart and bravery in my bones of Corrie ten Boom, I would consider myself lucky. What an amazing woman she was.
"Oh that poor woman," Corrie cried. "Yes. May God forgive her," Betsie replied. And once again, Corrie realized that is was for the souls of the brutal Nazi guards her sister prayed.

A book about the deepest hate written with the deepest love. I really don’t have words. My mind and heart are buzzing with lots of feelings and thoughts.
This is a very religious book in a lot of ways, which I loved. I love to dive into others’ faith and see what they see. I might not have the same belief system, but in the end, I kinda do. Because the truth of the world is kindness and compassion. I found Corrie and Betsie’s faith to be refreshing and inspiring. Maybe miracles do happen once in a while.
