This was surprisingly funny and poignant, really sad, but also full of female rage. Poetry's kind of hard to rate, but I will definitely be going out to buy this book to read every couple of months, so 5 stars.

Do not tread lightly into this poetry, because if it's not meant for you there is little comfort here. But for those of us who know, who fit, and who ache through this work, there's something hauntingly universal while also singular about this collection.
From a technical standpoint, a few of these shine, some are middling, and a few needed a bit more polish -- and it's hard to say "I enjoyed" this because well, it's not exactly "enjoyable" or offering consolation. There's an authenticity throughout due to the rawness in each poem that becomes a catalog of pain and negative emotion. It's heart rending and, unfortunately, personally relatable at times for me (hence my earlier warning).
My own reflections aside and not included, I hope we can do better by women.

I really loved the titles of the poems - I really think it helped hit the message of each poem.

It's hard to put a star rating on such a personal collection. While I appreciated Fox's honest and open reflection of her, often abusive, relationships and her struggles with mental health, stylistically this wasn't a huge hit for me. If was very surface level and filled what felt like teenage angst scribbled in a composition book instead of thoughtful reflections. Overall a bit of a miss for me.
