This is dark. Horrifying in a way because you have to think, “is this a possibility for our future?” The way the author writes is very straight forward, almost in a narrator kind of style but it carries a grief, a harrowing undertone to it that makes you sympathize with the main character. A very fast read but one that leaves you questioning what you eat.

Wasn't as horror driven as I anticipated. Once you know the main topic of the story, there are some disturbing moments, but it's all the same reference to humans as food. The ending was a twist I didn't expect! I didn't love it but I found it thought-provoking and interesting.
