very disturbing, naturally, given the premise, and there was the classic 'oh society is horrible but i'm not' main character, who was, in fact, horrible, he just pretends he isn't. and honestly, just a very messed up future, like

all animals have a virus, so instead of becoming vegetarian, lets eat humans? who thought of that?

This book was so grotesque I had to put it down multiple times I felt sick. I like to think that the concept is interesting, but after hearing people talk about how “crazy” the ending was, I was underwhelmed. I think this one missed the mark for me personally.

It had the potential to do something so much more than just be disturbing

Read in one sitting, and was disturbed and engrossed all at once. Sociologically reflective and dark, the graphic imagery and focus on language were amazing. The ending is such a Way To End that, and really brings the narrative together.
