Beautifully written and deeper than Mary Shelley probably supposed. It's interesting how this story has evolved in memory to be about the monster, when it really is much more about the man who created him.

I actually did not really know this story. I was surprised to learn that the creature was intelligent and sophisticated and was doing good deeds. I empathized with him during his POV section of the book. And the primary moral of the story about Scientists being mindful of the consequences of what they create is so relevant still today. I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would.
