I never DNF books but I couldn't get through this one. I read 30% of it and it was enough for me. I didn't really like the first one but this one is so much worse.

First book was better but this book was just as good a little rushed but it was more of just to wrap the story up quickly it seemed

Lost Clause did not carry the same emotional impact as Contract Bound, and I found the ending very rushed. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first.

I loved the first but couldn't get into this one. The story felt too slow and too fast at the same time. I DNFed about half way through. I don't know that I will revisit later

Okay, I was SO excited for this. I love kier and her devotion to Silvia! I love the description of Silvia seeing kier for the first time. I couldn’t put it down! The love kier has for Silvia is incredible, and makes me weak! Silvia stepped TF up and is the best clan leader for them. I love the building of the friendship of Emery and Silvia. I wish we would’ve seen more of the infirmary and that Silvia was more involved with that, but other than that. Obsessed. As usual with any of Maes work

This second book in the series felt like it was lacking a full storyline. I enjoyed the first one so much more but this one has so many time gaps within it that it felt as if it was written just bc people wanted a part two to the series and not an actual plot.

I wish the second book was as long as the first, it seem like some of the mysteries were rushed to be revealed but over all I enjoyed the story and the spice
