A bit of an abrupt ending, but man it's poetic :) excited for book 3! Still has me hanging on, just as the first book did.

SOLID!! Love This series so much ♥️

This book was intriguing and fun and I loved it.

The characters are amazing and I love them so much!!
Cress.. wow.

This book was good, but I felt it dragged on a little. It kinda suffered from second book syndrome. It’s a shame.

Here’s to hoping that the third book doesn’t drag as much!

However, the second book picked up pretty well and made me excited to keep reading. I really like all the characters except blaise. I liked her coming into her power as a leader and working with the pirates. Obviously a skank for enemies to lovers. Kress character and reveal was great

I enjoyed the introduction to the new city and people there but I didn't like some assumptions made about the suitors there and their reasons for being there.

OMG! No second book slow down here. More twists and turns as well as shocking reveals throughout. Thank goodness this trilogy is complete as I can pick up that much needed conclusion right away.

Ok so like I don’t know how to review this book? It is not the best sequel I have ever read but yet again its just so compelling and I really want to know what happens.

Alright so personally, I think the best part of this series is the characters. I like almost all of them. I see each of them as very realistic and humane, and they can be quite cut-throat when they have to be. The only one I would say is the most unlike this is Soren (because he goes against his country hella quick) but even him I like because he is such a cinnamon roll.

I also really like that the protagonist isn’t just this action hero. She is more of a strategist in the courts, and I haven’t seen that in many YA books. So there isn’t a lot of action, but I think that there is a reason to that.

Laura Sebastian, I’m sorry, but you aren’t the best at writing action. Its very clunky and formative, and it can sometimes be very confusing to follow. Especially the final battle, but I’m making this spoiler free, so if you read it, you will know what I mean.

The beginning was a little slow, the ending was too rushed, and the middle was pretty long with not much happening except some flirting. So why did I like this book as much as I did? I honestly don’t know. I think I just needed a classic YA cliche book, and this fits that mold pretty well. And if you need that too, I say go ahead and read this book.

PS: that ending really hyped me up, and if the author does it right, the finale can be pretty freaking awesome. Lets go to some mines!!
