Some beautiful writing and imaginative concepts, loved the storytelling aspects. However, the gory crime committed was horrific and not really addressed fully, even seeming to exonerate the culpability of the murderer. Also, there’s blatant racial slurs used and there’s just no need for this, some anti-Indigenous sentiment too. So while parts were enchanting, the biases and disorganization of the character storylines made it tedious.

This was a slow read. So many characters, I couldn't keep straight how they were connected to each other. Also the crime committed in the book was truly horrendous, and was pretty glossed over by most of the characters.

Interesting concept and good writing captivated my attention. I liked the characters and their story.
I think the ending was rushed and abrupt, that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars (3.5 if I could do half). It is a good and fun to read book, but it didn’t fully develop for me.

The beginning and end didn't do much for me but the whole middle was delightful.
