Grace Burrowes is a hit or miss author for me, but Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish was definitely a hit. I loved Sophie and Vim’s relationship and how their romance developed; I didn’t think the baby plot was overkill. Having read her brothers’ books, I enjoyed seeing them appear here and what they added to the strip. Overall, I found this to be a sweet story that was enjoyable.

DNF at 25%. Are we sure this was written by the same person who wrote the Windham trilogy? I swear, this reads like stereo instructions. So utterly boring. It's got about as much spark as a business merger.

3 for the heroine (too weepy for my tastes), but 4 for everything else. Burrowes' construction of masculinity is far gentler than the usual alpha male of romance, a welcome variation. And who could help but smile at Valentine, Westhaven, and St. Just as the three wise men?

Things I liked:
  • I loved how much of baby Kit we get to see! It was so much fun to see Vim with him and to see Sophie completely fall in love with him. He had so many cute moments.
  • Vim was such a dream in the beginning that I was like ommggg he’s the most perfect hero ever!
Things I didn’t like:
  • Honestly I couldn’t understand why they weren’t together. For SOOOO much of the book, I said to myself why is this so complicated? I think both of them made things really weird when it didn’t need to be that way.
  • Because of that the romance was not the best part of this book for me. It was really about Kit. And honestly the first half was SOOO good. Then a ton of miscommunication happened.
  • I was so frustrated with Sophie’s brothers for
encouraging her to give up Kit when it was obvious it was hurting her so badly.

Grace Burrowes never disappoints. This book is #4 in the Windham series. I liked the progression of
the relationship between Sophie and Vim. I also liked reading about the characters from the past books. I thought the plot was a bit slow and would have liked it moving along at a quicker pace. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.

Great start to the story. Love the brothers. Wish it was shorter as the "we can't figure out how to be together" part kinda dragged.

This one was fun. Again I quite liked Lady Sophie. I also enjoyed the Kit storyline.
