When Stella met Mace she fell hard, when Mace walked out of her life six months later, she fell harder. A year later the Rock Star has found her footing and although it is still raw, has moved on from her time with Mace. The last thing she needs in her life now is Mace, but he is back now that she and the other Rock Chicks are being targeted and Mace has no plans to walk away this time.

Mace has enough of his own baggage to know the biggest mistake he made was walking away from Stella, he plans to get her back. Although Stella still wants him, she doesn't plan to go easily as Mace plans not only to protect her but claim her as his and never let her go.

I liked this one, not my favorite out of the series but had plenty of Rock Chick moments. I was hooked from the beginning but this had other viewpoints in the story which drifted from how the previous books have been and I felt it kept me off guard, I just wanted more Stella and Mace.

This one is my favorite besides the first. It’s got everyone and it’s the epitome of what this series is all about. Loving rereading this series.

Update: This series is officially my comfort read. Stella and Mace's story is definitely when s*it hits the wall. Loved it. Still highly recommend.

The only real "Rock Chick" in the bunch. I was looking forward to Stella's story. But Stella is a self-pitying girl with a martyr complex, who can't say no to her friends. She spends so much time cleaning up after her band mates poor choices she has little time for herself. Mace ended their previous relationship with little explanation, something she really hasn't gotten over. She is bitchy to him as a result & wants nothing to do with him now that he has decided, again with no explanation, that he wants her again.
Her hero, Mace, is an asshole who won't take no for an answer. On the plus side, he sees she has too much on her plate, taking care of the band, and wants to help, but she hasn't let him in the past. The negative side is how he goes about 'helping' once Stella is targeted with the other Rock Chicks by someone after Lee & the Nightingale crew. In typical KA hero fashion he is utterly oblivious of anything the h says unless she is agreeing with him. He just does what he wants and literally drags her along with him when she doesn't want to do whatever it is.
None of these women ever want anything to do with the guy pursuing them at first. None of them. They say no repeatedly, but guy won't hear it. He knows best. He knows they are just pushing him away for foolish reasons that don't matter at all. He's decided. They need to fall in line because he's decided, that's all they need to know. Yeah, some of the girls are being ridiculous constantly pushing away these hawt alpha males who can magically fix everything in their lives but mostly I agree with them. Some guy I barely know or even some guy I've know all my life starts trying to dominate my life? Won't listen to me? Won't acknowledge I have a right to decide I want nothing to do with him? Hell yeah I'd be pushing them away. I'd also be calling the cops after some of the shit these so called heroes pull.
Personally I think a story about a hot guy pursuing a woman who repeatedly says no, and then finally guy takes that no for an answer, leaving the girl to realize what she lost and then having to pursue the guy would make a much better story than guy being a controlling asshole forcing his attention on the girl.
The plot makes no real sense. Why target Stella, she has been nothing to do with Mace for ages?

Not my favorite of the series. Too many POV changes for my taste. But i've really loved following all the rock chicks and the hot bunch.

❤️🥰😍❤️

Stella’s book was an amazing by Kristin Ashley. I’m not too sure how I liked the alpha male in this particular novel but I did like that all the prior characters came back together to solve the mystery with the murders. When you get to see what’s going on or what has evolved in the other characters lives it always makes me happy

A lot more serious than the previous books, this is the story of Mace and Stella.

The "tribe" has grown a lot and there are chapters from various points of view of characters whose story we've read in previous books. That got a bit confusing at times and so did the fast forward into the future epilogue.

Regardless, I'm really enjoying the series, since it's light and heavy on the romance, and despite the fact that all the stories so far follow the same pattern, it is a pattern that works.

I was planning on taking a break from the series but the teaser chapter of the next book, [b:Rock Chick Regret|13184992|Rock Chick Regret (Rock Chick, #7)|Kristen Ashley|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1328300035s/13184992.jpg|18365634], left me very intrigued so I'll probably jump right into that one.

(Jan 2020) I loved Vance & Jules story, but I loveeeeee Mace & Stella’s. From the first few pages a lump settled in my throat and for the first half of the book I struggled to hold back the tears as I felt every emotion Stella was experiencing.
Mace & Stella was a totally different ride to the other Rock Chick stories, it was deep, raw and powerful.
It shattered me, then pieced me back together again.

I loved how this book has POV from quite a few of the rock chicks and hot bunch, nice twist and good glimpse into all the emotions running wild.

The flash forward to the future at the end was beautiful touch, I could easily stop here and be in rock chick bliss. Actually surprised there is more to come as the flash forward gives away Hector & Ally’s stories. However I am itching for the original Rock Chick Ally to have her story told.

Tip: google the lyrics or listen to the songs mentioned as you’re reading. It cranked up the emotion understanding what Stella was feeling each time she was singing.
Anna Weatherup version of Black is how I envision Stella singing

This is a heart breaking story, at times i found it a painful read, 'Mace's experience we have learnt a little about in previous books, i think with Jet but when we find out the detail its tear jerking.

At times i found Mace a little infuriating, he has his own breed of Alpha, we know from other books he is moody but at times i could have kicked him, esp at a particular point when he walks away. AGAIN!!

I would suggest listening to the songs that the band and Stella play while reading, the lyrics express some of the story.
