A dark, magical academia of witches. I was drawn to the magic, plot, and spice. Some topics and themes felt borrowed or just seem to be overused in fantasy. Very short book that felt rushed in the end because even 80 pages from the end, it didn’t seem like we were close to the end.

I had no expectations going into this and I’m glad! The dark academia vibes were so good. The headmaster/student trope was sexy. The FMC was strong-willed and mouthy. The MMC was dark and handsome. The ending was jaw-dropping.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book : it was both addictive and terribly cringe. I feel like the author did everything to fast when it would have been amazing as a slow burn romance and if she maybe developed the universe and academia aspect a little more.
I didn't hate the book, but it was kind of disappointing. The world building isn't good. The plot and pacing isn't good either, in my opinion. The spice in the book is good, but that's not enough to redeem it for me. I am kind of curious about what happens next but I'm not sure I want to read the next one. I can see how some people may enjoy this book, but it was just a little shallow for me.
