Thankyou to Netgalley and Random House UK, Transworld Publishers | Bantam for a free e-arc in exchange of an honest review.

I have seen this book around for a while and wasn't going to pick it up until i knew it was going to be part of a special edition box- I'm really glad i did as this was really fun. I wouldn't say its the absolute best writing iv read but it was extremely engaging and fast paced and kept my attention easily. Very addictive and i really loved the tension and smut. I went straight into the second book after this one!

This book has been on my TBR for what feels like forever and honestly, this was such a great witchy dark romance! Love the morally grey MMC! He definitely had my attention

This book read like a first draft; it had some potential but the world building, plot points and relationships were not fleshed out yet.

TL:DR: This was abysmal. Macmillan what are you doing? FMC is not like other girls and MMC is Zoolander. 0/10. Next.

Main female character is differently different checklist:
- different coloured eyes -CHECK
- other people tell her to wear different colours but she only wears black and grey - CHECK
- she doesn't like regular shoes, she only wears combat boots - CHECK
- all the other boys have a crush on her - CHECK

Some of my favourite quotes:

"My men had successfully collected two Whites"

"His eyes flashed as they connected with mine, the blue steel of them darkening for a moment before he lowered them down to the amulet at my chest"
"He studied me intently, his steel-blue eyes flashing."
"The arrogance in those steel-blue eyes was everything I dreaded."
"Thorne's steely blue eyes burned with cold as he studied me-"
"I glanced up at him from the corner of my eye, his steely eyes darkening-"
"He sank his fangs into his flesh slowly, holding my gaze with his burnished steely stare"
"I opened them to find his arrogant steel eyes burning with desire."
"He leaned toward me; his steely gaze intense on mine as he continued with the one thing that would always remain true."
MA'AM THERE ARE OTHER WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!! I ONLY SEE ZOOLANDER NOW!

"She shook her head slightly, the dark tresses of wavy raven hair falling forward over her shoulder. There was the slightest tint of red to the ends, as if she'd dipped them in the blood of her enemies." Sure Jan.

"He was beautiful and infuriating - a disaster waiting to happen." WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??

"The strap went across my chest as I hoisted it up onto my shoulder, creating that line through my cleavage that I detested more than anything. Seat belt boobs were hardly attractive." - I can excuse racism but I draw the line at seat belt boobs

""You truly do not remember my name?" he asked, scoffing as if it was totally believable I would forget such a thing. That was quite stupid of him, as I remembered everything." - I mean the author forgot her own plot later sooooooo...

"Her friend struck forward, sinking his fist into my gut and knocking the breath right out of me. "Then fight, bitch."
"You spelled witch wrong," I argued-" - WE ARE SPEAKING ALOUD NO ONE IS SPELLING ANYTHING DAFUQ. She really thought she ate with this...

There's probably more but I got really tired after a certain point and I was far enough into the book that I figured I might as well finish it...but at what cost?

**EDIT: I forgot to mention that this does end on a cliffy!**

I'm gonna start by saying that this is my first book by this author and I am officially hooked!!

The ride this book just took me on was WILD!

I really don't even know where to begin. We're immediately thrust into Willow's world, starting with the death of her mother. It's clear from the start that there is a bigger story for Willow, as her mother was hiding her magic from the sight of the coven.

Also, Willow's love for her little brother Ash had me in tears multiple times.
