Very intriguing dark comedy about anxiety, and trying to keep it all together when everything is falling apart

I was intrigued by the premise but the storyline ultimately fell short for me. The absurdity was getting redundant after a while and I couldn’t wait for the story to end.

I enjoyed it but… I’ll admit I didn’t really understand the ending. Maybe someone can explain it to me?

I happened upon this one at the library and picked it up, and it wasn't for me! I liked the illustration style but had no interest in the plot.

A hilariously bleak comedy about a writer stuck in a Kafkaesque hell of the criminal justice system, the world of publishing, and an unfamiliar city. The dialogue is witty and quick. The art simple and claustrophobic perfectly encompassing the confusion of the protagonist. I highly recommend this to fans of David Lynch and the Cohen Brothers.

I love the absurdity of it all. There wasn’t a single moment that I knew what was going on & I loved it. Didn’t have the best time since i was on edge for most of the book just waiting for an explanation about what was going on. But I really liked the strange concepts that were explored like a restaurant that charges by time and a homeless shelter that requires reservations. I also just loved the art style so yea.
