I absolutely adored this story! I loved watching these two come together and build the trust between them in order for everything else to fall in place. I love how Lucas interacts with Evie from the beginning. He doesn't push her but gives her the choices and lets her know that she is safe, in a safe place. I love how he then goes on to prove that to her without being overbearing. I love how Evie finally starts feeling safe and even though it scares her and how she feels for Lucas, and the fact she doesn't fear him, scares the crap out of her but she shows how brave she is by pushing through and sticking around. This book drew me in from beginning to end and just had me enthralled. I loved the way that these authors created this world and these characters. This story has plenty to hold your attention from beginning to end and I truly just adored every bit of it! I cannot wait for the next story in the series!

Outstanding start to a new series. As an avid fan of Janie Crouch's books, I couldn't wait to read this book. Montana Sanctuary is a fast paced, heartfelt, and suspenseful read full of intrigue, action, and drama.
Lucas and Evelyn’s story is a pure shot of adrenaline with a chaser of feels and swoon! I loved these two together. The sparks and raw chemistry were off the charts. I tell fell fast and hard for this couple and my ached for them. Once I started this story, I couldn't put it down. It is fast-paced and has a riveting plot with enough twists and turns that kept me turning the pages.
This story has everything that I look for in romantic suspense, great characters, intriguing story, action and more action and a love story that pulled at my heartstrings. There is a great cast of supporting characters, plenty of romance, and overall, a great start to the new series. I really enjoyed it and am excited for more!

Montana Sanctuary follows the story of Evelyn running from her past when she finds herself up in Montana looking for a job in a coffee shop. She also needs a place to live and runs into Lucas who offers her one of the cabins on a ranch he owns with some friends. As Evelyn starts getting used to her new surroundings, her past (aka super crazy ex) appears and attempts to take everything away from her. How far will Lucas go to help Evelyn? How far will Evelyn's ex go to get what he wants?
I enjoyed this listen. The suspense in this book outweighs the romance, but it is still there. I liked how this book brought attention to people with PTSD and how helpful srrvice animals really can be. This is not the first Janie Crouch book that I can relate to on an eerie level, and I haven't even been kidnapped by a former lover. Looking forward to the next one!
Connor Brown is new to me, and I felt like his voice was a great fit for Lucas. Emma Wilder was perfect as always.
