This is an emotional story of severe abuse and the reclaiming of one's life. It didn't hurt that there were Navy Seals involved in the recovery. I loved the appropriate use of and descriptions for why emotional support animals can be so very helpful in healing. Parts of the storyline were a bit of predictable, but definitely this is a good read and I recommend this book.
