Fantastic book! So many unexpected things happened. I had no idea what I was getting into with this book but I’m so glad I listened to it. Julia Whelan is an awesome narrator and hooks you from the start.
A lot of memorable moments but one of my favorites is a quote from Nina realizing only she is responsible for her path in life. It’s up to her to take care of herself and move forward from circumstances.

I love a book you cant put down, because the twists keep you guessing.
Never. Trust. Anyone. That’s pretty much what this book teaches us right up until the very last chapter. The plot was interesting and engaging, but the background information on the characters could probably have been condensed into 15-20 pages instead of 200. But if you can get through the first third of the book, the rest is totally worth it!
I love the fact that has soooooo many twist ! It’s a nice story with human and relatable characters . Also I love how uses this words to describe the absurdity about some stuff in this modern world .
I started this one as an audiobook and then transitioned into reading it on my phone with @libby.app about halfway through. Didn’t like the voice of one of the narrators anyway so it worked out.
There were a lot of twists; every time I thought I knew what would happen next it turned another corner and went in a different direction. This made for an interesting reading experience because I switched allegiances among characters three or four times throughout the story.
Overall it isn’t the most sophisticated writing, but definitely a quick and easy read.

This book was perfect! It had everything a good con/grief book should have. I was so pleased with where this book went. It’s an excellent and gripping story.

Criminals with a conscience? Well-written with good character development, many surprises and a fast read for a long book.
Somewhere in the middle of this, I was pretty sure I hated everyone in this book, and you know what? I was right.
This book was... not good.
