I thoroughly enjoyed this con within a con story. I was all in with Nina and Lachlan, and Nina’s backstory was genuinely heartbreaking.
Although I suspected some things weren’t quite what they seemed, I didn’t fully expect the twists or the ending - which was great. Nina and Vanessa were the perfect foils and frenemies.
One of three narrators, Julia Whelan, is one of my favorites. It took me a while to settle into the alternate POVs of Nina and Vanessa, but overall very well done.

This book will have you questioning who is the actual bad “person”. I loved this! -Read it!
The pov shifting was really well done.Like there is an actual point to there being 2 perspectives. The first 50% of the book was a slow burn but i was glad i waited cuz it went high gear really quickly afterwards. The twists!!!Just loved it.
