My second read of this novel and I still love it! Keri Lake just knows how to put a story together!

This is the darkest story I have read by this author thus far. I loved it. My eyes were literally glued to the page the entire time.

The hero, Rip is so fucked up he should not at all be sexy but somehow he so is, despite the fact that he is a psychopath and wears danger like a second skin he exudes sexiness.

As for the heroine, Dylan I love how fierce she is for one so young.

I cannot wait to see what happens next with these two.

What a promising start! It got me hooked right away. This is turning out to be one of my favorite dark reads.

descriptionSuper hot cover that is visually pleasing (HaHa). Good Composition and use of space. Typography is simple (two different fonts used) but well balanced. A small tagline that lets you know this is the first book in the series. Quite a good representation of one of the main characters in the book.description

descriptionSo WOWZA was this book good! Dark. Twisted. Fucked up. Well-Written. Nicely Paced. One HELL of a cliffhanger.

In this first episode, the author introduces up to Dylan and Rip. Painting a picture of their separate but equally dark and painful backgrounds. I felt in this episode of the series we got to know Dylan a little more than Rip. I am sure in upcoming episodes that the layers that make up the man Rip is will be slowly peeled away. Both characters hold so much potential and it has me gnawing at the bit to get episode two in my hands.

Not much more to say really. I straight up LOVED it.description

A quick read but one that really sucks you in from page one.
My first book from Keri Lake but I'm definitely getting the others in this series when they come out.

Most of the short books i read are smutty but this one was a refreshing change.
Dylan is a young girl that's had a pretty hard life. Well not pretty hard it's been down right ugly at times.
But she keeps her head held High with a middle finger in the sky.
She doesn't have many weaknesses but the one she does have gets used against her alot.
I honestly wanted to just climb in the book and wrap her in a warm blanket and tell her it will all be ok.

Rippley really intrigued me.
He's the 'bad guy' but he doesn't seem so bad to me.
Well you see him do some pretty disgusting stuff but still he doesn't seem that bad but he's got this whole bad boy-no morals-i will kill you sort of feel to him but i liked him.

I can't wait for more!

Dark, gritty, graphic, and sexy with a touch of snarky humor---I'm all in, totally hooked and ready for more!!! This episode gave me just enough to wet my appetite and left me salivating for more. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Keri Lakes writing and Ripple Effect is on coarse to be just as amazing as everything else I've read by her. Not quite 5 stars yet, as the 94 pages wasn't quite enough to get me there but I can feel that last star coming on.
