Another great book in the Man of the Month series. I didn't like this one as much as the others, but it was still a very enjoyable read. Selma and Easton were true opposites. But they always say, opposites attract. It fits well with the series.

I received a copy of this book in an exchange for an honest review.

Selma and Easton had a romantic tryst years ago that was satisfying but quick. Now Selma needs legal help and she knows just who to call. But will these two share more than just legal aide? Or will Easton not help her because she will not be the correct type of woman to help with his political career? This book did not have the same in-depth storyline surrounding the bar as the others but it was still a great read. A wonderful story with a wonderful couple.

**ARC PROVIDED FOR HONEST REVIEW***

Selma and Easton are H O T! One the of the more classic (read: raunchy) J Kenner Man of the Month books, it was a brilliant read. Selma and Easton are both a bit lost professionally and find their way back to each other ten years after a one night stand.

What ensues is emotional and captivating. The twists and turns to their inevitable HEA are what make their story so lovely. And... who doesn’t love a hot lawyer? And a heroine with a non-traditional job?

This is one book I’ll come back to again and again.

Oh and, I hope we get to see the hot Scotsman at some stage...

As with all the other books I've read in this series so far, this was a very quick and easy read. I was excited because our heroine, Selma, was going to go to Scotland. But I was a little unsure how that would work with the whole Man of the Month contest at the bar and the rest of the cast of this series. In the end I had nothing to worry about, as the author ended up keeping the story going right where we wanted it to be. The passion was very hot in this story, I loved how it got started right away. While Easton started out as a little bit stuffy and I was a little shocked that he was going to be so easily able to resist. But then, when he gave in, it was perfect. I like that the whole relationship went smoothly, for the most part, even though they had to keep it on the down-low because of the fact that Easton was planning to run for an elected position as a judge.
I could tell though that wasn't really what he wanted to do. And it was obvious that Selma didn't really want to sell her company since she kept putting all the caveats on the contract she was trying to push through with the buyers. Finally, I loved the way that Easton decided to do his groveling. It was perfect for the series. I look forward to Matthew's story next I believe!

Selma Herrington is a free spirit who is restless in her current position and feels like it is the perfect time to make a change. There is an offer to buy her brand but she will need a lawyer to make all her dreams come true and it seems to be Easton Wallace is that man!

Easton hasn’t spoken with Selma in quite few years...after their one night stand. Now, Selma needs his help so Easton decides that they can both benefit from a mutual agreement. However, she’s a wild child and he’s running for office. A relationship with her would not be in his best interest.

This was a really great book. I loved Selma and Easton and the relationship between the two of them. They were fun and super sexy! Another great Man of the Month!

Why hello there Easton! I really enjoyed this book for the fact that you have a stodgy lawyer who is not wanting to bend because he is running for the judicial circuit and you have a sassy no holds barred girl in Selma that runs of all things a whiskey distillery! Two completely opposites who have history with each other, clash back together in the most unexpected way. The fireworks of these two is insane as well as the path to figure out what they both really wanted in life. Watching these two characters develop and change in this story was amazing. They let go of fears and welcome the uncertainty of the future with each other and that alone was stunning. They really did mesh well together regardless of how much they are polar opposites.
I am so looking forward to the next story! Hard to believe that we only have three more books to go in this amazing series. If you haven’t started it, I highly recommend it as the way it flows together is amazing and spellbinding!

ALL NIGHT LONG is book 9 in the Man of the Month series. It's a complete standalone and novella length.

Here's the general gist of this series: a hometown favorite bar, The Fix on Sixth, is in need of funds to keep its doors open. As part of a fundraiser, the bar is hosting a search for hot men to grace a calendar. Each of the stories revolve around different couples and different tropes. This one is a second chance, opposites attract romance.

Easton is a hot shot lawyer on the fast track to becoming a judge. Selma is a free spirit who owns an up and coming distillery. A one night stand ten years ago left them both wanting more when Selma goes to Easton for some legal council.

I ADORED Selma! She was Easton's opposite...the color in his black and white world. She was funky and sassy. Fun and spontaneous. Easton was NOT looking for someone as vivacious as Selma but he was totally drawn to her magnetic personality. I loved how well they complimented each other!

There's not a bunch of drama but there is a lot of sexy spice and awesome characters! This is a quick, sweet and saucy book...great for an afternoon read! Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

All Night Long is the ninth book in J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series, and despite it being one of my least favourites in the series it is another enjoyable read. I’ve been a fan of this series since book one, yet each additional book sucks me in ever deeper. I find myself desperately awaiting the release of the next book, counting down the days until it appears on my Kindle. Each time a new one appears, I devour it, starting the cycle all over again. Being so close to the end, knowing my most anticipated stories are just around the corner, I’m torn between savouring these books and consuming them even faster. I doubt anyone is surprised to find out the latter is what is happening.

The Man of the Month series is a collection of interconnected romance stories, proving individual stories as a larger story plays out. Each novel features a favourite romance trope, ensuring there is something for everyone. The first book, Down on Me, provided us with the friends-to-lovers trope; the second book, Hold on Tight, provided us with the second chance romance; the third book, Need You Now, provided us with the brother’s best friend trope; the fourth book, Start Me Up, provided us with the one-night stand; the fifth book, Get It On, provided us with the secret baby trope; the sixth book, In Your Eyes, provided us with the bad boy billionaire; the seventh book, Turn Me On, provided us with the friends with benefits trope; the eighth book, Shake It Up, gave us the May-December romance. With book nine, All Night Long, we’re given another book where there are a collection of elements that could be considered the trope – second chance, one night stand (at the start), friends with benefits (as the story progresses), and a few other popular elements – yet I’m going to label it the opposites attract, as that’s the main element for this one and it has yet to be done in this series.

Although each book is an individual story with a start and an end, I would recommend reading these books in order. To understand some of the details of the story in full, you need to understand how things came to be throughout the prior books. You’re certainly told, to ensure you have the basic facts to understand the story, but it is not the same as experiencing all that happened – for a bigger picture, read the series in order. Now that we’re over half way through the series, there are a lot of nods to past events and other couples – plus, you start to notice when prior books were making nods towards the events that are now playing out. By no means am I saying you need to go back and read all the books, but I am saying you will appreciate this series much more if you read things in order. Plus, it’s nice to watch how the underlying story is playing out.

With each book in this series you go in with certain expectations – you have an idea of how the trope plays out and you know who is to be the man of the month. Despite this, you’re interested in seeing how the little details play out – and for those following the series, you’re interested in seeing the additional elements added to the overall story. Although we’re never given anything new to the genre, we’re always given something unique to keep us wanting more.

If I’m being completely honest, though, All Night Long is one of my least favourite books in the series. Extra dose of honesty, I thought I would be giving this one a three-star rating. In fact, it’s a three-point-five-star rating rounded up, because the drama at the end won me over. Sure, this book was an enjoyable quick read; however, I do not feel as though it was to the standard of the rest of the series. It was enjoyable, I liked watching the story unfold, but I had been hoping for a little bit more. There was never quite the same level of love within me towards these characters as there has been towards other characters, and the story was nowhere near as intense as some of the prior books.

That being said, I am crazy excited for the next book. Book ten is giving us one of my favourite tropes, then we’ll be moving on to my most anticipated story, and then I’m hoping we’ll finish with a bang.

I cannot wait to get my hands on book ten!

A carefree, successful businesswoman. A buttoned-up lawyer on his way to becoming a powerful judge. Two people who shouldn’t match up in any way, shape or form. But J. Kenner made it work in the sexiest, most pleasing of ways in All Night Long.

J. Kenner keeps on cranking out the books in her smoking hot Man of the Month series. And somehow the couples are remaining relevant and the tropes are still wildly entertaining. In this case Easton and Selma’s romance was kind of a combination of two tropes: a one-night stand (several years ago) and opposites attract. Both worked exceedingly well. There was some major heat between these two strong-willed individuals and it was oh-so much fun watching them dance around each other. Read More
