An interesting if at times frustrating minority report on questions of the historical Jesus, which manages not to sacrifice too much of it's critical stance in it's supernaturalist claims to remain a thoughtful inquiry.

Initial impressions: deep appreciation for for the commitment to analysis through 1st century Judaism. Spot on with the central value of love as the corner stone of faith and meeting the world where it is at. I Disagree with the shades of substitionary atonement and am not sure about his position on a physical resurrection—he never explained what he meant by that so I'm left to assume he meant it in a very orthodox sense.

In summarizing his previous work, Wright focused too much on giving every conclusion rather than narrowing them down in order to provide evidence of them.
