Kristen Ashley continues her heartfelt and steamy Dream Team series with this tale of exotic dancer and gruff, domineering Axl Pantera.
Axl wants Hattie Yates and he’s been pursuing her for what feels like years, but the shy beauty is excellent at internalizing her feelings and keeping people at arm’s length. After attracting the attention of a stalker, Axl doesn’t hesitate to erase the distance between them and lets her know just how much he wants her while keeping her safe.
Hattie is extremely talented. She’s not only a wonderful classically trained dancer but also an artist just waiting to be brave enough to show the world her creations.
Axl is patient, caring, supportive and all around swoon worthy. He was the perfect man to coax Hattie out of her shell, build her up and help her through her problems even though he had family drama of his own.
I really enjoyed how Axl and Hattie communicated and navigated the ups and downs of their burgeoning relationship once they were on the same page regarding their relationship which was to work on one.
The steaminess is a given with the domineering, swoon worthy alpha male. It was hot, it was fun and it was spicy.
The suspense wasn’t the nail biting kind but it helped the main characters in the romance and pushed the series’ overall arc forward.
I loved all the secondary characters both the ones who’ve had their own books and the ones who haven’t. I hope the latter get theirs soon. I also enjoyed the cameos by characters from other series. I can’t wait to read the next installment in the series.
Dream Spinner book #3 of the Dream Team series by Kristen Ashley. A spinoff the Dream Man & Rock Chick series. Told from both points of view, with a happy ending. Subgenres: Contemporary Romance with a dash of suspense

“The last guy I date was somewhat a long time ago and he was really boring in bed.”
“I’m sorry, honey,” Axl replied. Though, in saying this, he looked both sorry and like he thought something was funny. I homed in on the last part.
“Bad sex isn’t funny, Axl,” I told him the God’s honest truth.
“I know, baby. Christ, you poor thing,” he soothed at the same time teased.

I like the story, but as the series goes on, it gets a little overpopulated with characters from earlier books. You don't need to have read these books to follow along, but it definitely makes it easier.

I honestly just don't want these books to end. I don't always love the start of KA books due to the angst that is always there before the couple get together but boy when they get together, I absolutely love how the men are with their woman.
KA men are very protective and treat their woman so good. Granted I have not read all of her books yet but I'm close and this is generally the formula and I LOVE IT. I'm always left wanting more.
In Dream Spinner there seemed to be extra couple time between Axl and Hattie, which really puts this over the top goodness for me. I love couple time. I love seeing how a couple get to know each other and have each others back. It's one of my favorite things to read in a romance book. You totally get that in this book.
I'm really looking forward to book 4. The teaser at the end makes me nervous because the beginning may be even more angsty than usual, but I know the middle and end will be worth every bit of that angst.

So perfectly KA. Every single KA masterpiece changes me. I laugh. I cry. I think. I swoon. I believe. I hope. I feel. At about 45% of every book I ask myself “why don’t you go back and read every series, every book all over again?” I still don’t know.

Between Axl, Hattie and the rest of the gang, theres a bit of everything in this story. Heat, action, mystery, tragedy (past issues), and compassion. Loved seeing cameos. Keep them coming and I look forward to more!
