Honestly I think this is a good sequel to the first book. I hope there is more in the series because I really do enjoy these characters. Nasha and her idiot Mickey are just so good and get a chance to really shine in this book. Along with Berto, of course. It was funny even if the pacing was a bit of a mess. Worth it.

2 Years after the events of Mickey7, the colony is faced with a possible extermination event. Mickey must make deals and become a leader in his own right to ensure the future. This second book was equally as enjoyable as the first and honestly I wouldn't mind a few more. Mickey experienced a lot of character growth in this story and his friends were great side characters. If you enjoyed Mickey7 I would def recommend reading this.

I paused it for like a month and just realized I'd never get back into it. It felt sort of like a cheap knockoff of the first book (which I really loved)

I think I liked this one more than the first book, but I also didn’t have another adaptation to compare this one to. Alien story was good (if a little barebones) but it was disappointing to not have more of the original premise in this book
