SOMEONE FREE MY GIRL FROM THIS TOXIC MARRIAGE. like if this was real life these bitches would divorce omg i hate them together sm i thought it was gonna be good bc within 100 pages the main couple is together and the fiancé is broken up w bc the main girl is in love w the main guy and they fell off for a bit but got back together bc guess what the bitch is pregnant and there was more shit but they’re together now and i thought it would’ve ended there book it should’ve ended at that point but there’s more fucking drama omg. also i have to say how i hate how the author write the men’s pov bc it’s always so objectifying to women like rocky blatantly cheats on his wife in my opinion by staring at other women and allowing them to flirt w him and him going along w it and it’s just so ew reading him doing it but no one saying shit bc that’s just how he is like what i hate it sm. but anyways back to the last two thirds of the book so the first third is fluff w them being together and learning to overcome arguments and all that so i was like ok some development in their relationship they’ve been through a lot so it’s nice to read them being happy while also learning to overcome things together and not argue and hurt each other like they used to do but bro the fucking last chunk of the book is so foul. why tf did the author kill the main guy’s brother in law ik she wants to write about julian and the sister being together but it’s just so dumb to me bc you develop this side couple who’s been together for years in the last book and this one just to kill him off i hate this and bc of that there’s this whole conflict now bc the sister and the main guy are dealing w a lot bc of the grief and the main guy is a shitty husband and person bc of it and i get that grief affects people in different ways but it’s just so frustrating to read that he swore how he’s gonna treat the main girl right just to throw that away like you can deal w grief but also not be an asshole especially bc this man has no loyal bone is his body bro bc how tf he gonna go out to the club w his new assistant and let her use his hand to touch her cooch and not even push away from her for a bit like i fucking hate his character sm bc he had this nice arc for he was treating the main girl so well and finally making up for all of the shit he put her through just to put her through even more shit except there’s a baby in the equation now i could write a whole essay on how much i hate him like man’s forgot everything about his wife like an important charity event she’s hosting and can’t even text her for when he’s gonna come home late but then he gonna get jealous when she wanna go out as if he hasn’t been neglecting and avoiding her on purpose it’s so insane how much of a hypocrite he is and girly told him how she doesn’t trust him and his assistant but he doesn’t even do shit he keeps the assistant and feeds onto her thinking he wants her that it gets to a sexual point like come on. what gave him a reality check is when she says she wants a divorce and gives him the paper like i hate that he doesn’t do shit until the main girl pushes him to act you should know better. i’m so passionate about this pls but i just hate that this kinda trashed all his growth as a character but again grief affects people differently but it just sucks that it reverses all the progress he makes. tbh the main girl sm better than me i wouldve beat his ass up but i kinda hate how the author makes it so all the shit she’s going through is supposed to be challenges of a marriage like ik marriage isn’t easy but their marriage is so new to be tested like this it’s crazy and it’s written like it’s the main girl’s fault as if she doesn’t try to fix their marriage bc they be saying shit like marriage is two sided blah blah girly is putting in the work the main guy is just an asshole she deserves the other guy tbh like i shit on him last book but at least he wouldn’t treat her like shit when things get tough. let’s hope the next book is sm better thank god i’m done reading about this couple this gets a 4/10.
Read half of the book finally got my answer about the pendant and tattoo. I was correct on my original thought. Poor Eric going through change though, I love him and Kate.
I read both Chasing Love & Chasing us, just combining my review as a whole…
The one bright side from this is that I now know I like Second Chance tropes but obviously well done ones lol
1. It should have only been O N E book. No need for this mess to extend that long.
2. It should have also ended waaaay before it did.

I also felt duped into reading the second book! The first book leaves off in the middle of a scene and it legit says “to be continued…” & like the masochist I am I needed to know what happened when in reality I should have just stopped there.
Aside from all the triggers
